Deojay Design exceeded our expectations remodeling our outdated 1980s villa. The transformation from dark, unwelcoming, chaotic space to clean mid-century, befitting the Palm Springs vibe, was magical. We especially appreciated Danielle’s knowledge of materials, attention to detail with vision of a coordinated whole, as well as her timeliness and budget sensitivity. The character of the once drab, outdated space became vividly alive – appearing larger, brighter and cleaner compared with other villas in the community. “It’s so Palm Springs”, commented a neighbor, “…and feels so much bigger than ours!” The transformation was effective, efficient, fun, and form followed function. The pantry redesign, for example, proved to me the importance of the designer’s creativity for daily function. A once mundane closet pantry now serves as a baking workstation and amazing increased storage. With the reconstruction completed, we focused on furnishings. Cognoscente of budget, Danielle combined existing furnishings with incredible vintage, and custom designed pieces. It is now a relaxing and bright oasis in the desert!

I flew her to Miami when I moved here in 2011, to help me decorate my new space as I was ridding myself of my NYC furniture. To this day, I still have some pieces of art and furniture that Danielle curated.

Danielle is amazing! Deojay Design organized my space, which ultimately organized my life. Danielle created systems that I could follow easily after everything was organized. She dots all of her i’s and takes care of everything …from space-planning design & layout to shopping to color coordinating and labeling. She also helped me purge clothes, household items, makeup, dishes, etc. (I must say, this was long overdue). My closet is small, but Danielle came up with an awesome solution, both aesthetically and functionally, by designing a freestanding closet system with sliding doors, and smart interior solutions to create a space for everything lingering without a home in my bedroom.
